There is never a dull moment since we opened the library on Dec 20, 2011. It is first time ever in the village of Lingapuram.  Over 30+ students are visiting the library every day including some adults who dropped from school long time ago. For example: Mr. Vobbili Sominaidu is 30 years old and has two kids, dropped from elementary school when he was a kid, now enjoys reading and even thinking about going back to school. These kinds of stories inspire our volunteers and it is very fulfilling.

Siri foundation provided art supplies, board games and puzzles – used and new from last year leftover school supplies from friends. Some kids cannot wait till afterschool to play with them and immerse into art & drawing.

Now this library has evolved into a study center and information hub and created a strong bond among the Lingapuram community. Even older students 7th-10th grade (They go to nearby towns for education) spend time to do their homework and prepare for public exams.

We are fortunate to be part of this great story and our volunteers excited about future expansions and few more libraries in other villages.
