2023 Dec Update

Dear Friends,

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” I truly believe this because several of our former students are returning to support other students at the Siri Foundation by donating their time and money. I am grateful to them and our teachers who have mentored them.

Aligned with last year's commitment, the governing body and trustees have once again covered all expenses, enabling us to successfully ensure that 100% of the donations directly impact our cause. Actions indeed speak louder than words, and I take immense pride in our team's unwavering dedication to honoring this promise.

Big news! I am thrilled to announce that the Siri Foundation has been awarded the FCRA certificate from the Government of India on May 30, 2023. This means we can now accept donations from anywhere in the world, and we are more committed than ever to continuing our work in the field of education, serving underprivileged children. It took almost five years to obtain the necessary approvals, but the wait was entirely worthwhile.

Additionally, Siri has received approvals from TechSoup in India, as well as from major corporations such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, and the widely recognized employer-matching donation platform, Benevity. We aspire to broaden our collaborations with enterprises worldwide and partner with global charitable organizations like Asha for Education and Spoorthy in the USA in the years ahead.

Consequently, we have tripled our annual budget for the 2023 academic year. Most students at Siri benefit from support spanning 4 to 6 years throughout their educational journey, reflecting our steadfast, long-term commitment to ensuring their future success in life.

Heartfelt thank you, Asha for Education Kansas City Chapter, for your incredible support and partnership for the past ten years.  Your commitment has made a huge difference in our mission to help underprivileged children through education.

Thank you,

Srini Chintala | Founder & Trustee | Dec 23, 2023

New Students

We've expanded our scholarship program to include 14 more students for higher education starting in 2023. Here are a few of the new students, and we warmly welcome them to the Siri Family.

Dammu Ganesh & Coach TammuNaidu at Vechalam school

We thank Coach Mr. Tammunaidu for his pivotal role in training and nurturing raw talents like Ganesh Dammu, who excelled in Athletics under 14.  Ganesh's outstanding performance has opened doors for his induction into the Boys Sports Company (BSC) through India's 'Mission Olympics Program.

Ganesh's parents work as daily laborers in Mamidipalli village. Siri continues to support Ganesh, providing assistance for his education, travel, and other allowances.

Siri Foundation is truly fortunate to partner with exceptional educators and coaches like Mr. Naidu from Vechalam High School, where Siri has maintained a presence for the past ten years.

Anjana Priya Satyalaya (New addition) with Hymavathi  Chukka  (current Siri student)

Anjana is a 3rd year B.A. LLB student at the College of Law, Andhra University, aspiring to become a judicial officer. Her father, Mr. Koteswara Rao, works as a daily wage laborer. Facing financial constraints in supporting her education, she reached out to Siri for assistance

Nandini Korupolu was introduced by Coach Lohith, and her exceptional performance led to victories in multiple under-14 running competitions. She comes from a poor background; her father works as an auto driver, and her mother is a homemaker.

Siri Foundation is providing support for her nutrition and physical education needs.

Yaswanth Sammangi is a first-year medical student (M.B.B.S) at GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry. His father passed away when he was young, leaving his mother as the sole breadwinner. She works as a tailor and in housekeeping to support the family.
