Students and unemployed youth have been longing to have a local library in Koduru, so they don't need to go all the way to Kotapadu to prepare for tests , read books and obtain important news about employment.
Funded by Siri Foundation, this neighborhood library was opened in Summer 2017. This centrally located Library serves as an information center for adults as well as after-school education center for many children. Mr.Sreenivas Emandi manages this library and uses Whatsapp to communicate with all members about new books alatest employment news etc. He makes sure to keep the Library open most of the day and very late in the evening. This was a dream project for the village president Mr.Malleswara Rao Lekkala. Many books were donated by students in Kansas City, USA in 2017. Siri also procured several books and magazines locally.
Kids and adults equally use this facility everyday.
