2024 December, update

Dear Friends,

Wishing you and your family a joyous holiday season! Heartfelt thanks to your incredible support—together, we’ve made significant progress this year.

In 2024, we welcomed 28 new students into our scholarship program, including 6 orphans. This year was particularly meaningful as we launched a new chapter in Hyderabad, supporting 8 students in their educational journey. With these additions, the total number of students who have benefited from our scholarship program since 2012 has grown to 89. This wouldn’t have been possible without our partners in the USA: Asha for Education, Spoorthy Global, and Sparsh.

This summer, we hosted our first LEGO League robotics camp—a collaborative effort with Srujanavani India, Spoorthy in Virginia, and NVIDIA employees in Santa Clara, who generously sponsored the kits. Additionally, we strengthened our partnership with Srujanavani to identify deserving students through the Super60 program—an important initiative that serves as a pipeline for future scholarships.

Thank you for supporting our “Miles for Smiles” walkathon, where over 50 participants logged 19 million steps—nearly 8,500 miles! A special shoutout to Dr. Ashok Attaluri and Radhakrishna Velagapudi for their additional matching contributions on behalf of Kansas City participants.

We also appreciate your enthusiasm for the “Serve-Dink-Rally” pickleball tournament in Kansas City, which helped raise awareness for education support for underprivileged children.

Please explore additional stories of impact, including the GIOE restoration project, new students in 2024, grants for sports, and more.

Thank you for being an integral part of this journey. Together, we are creating a brighter future for so many deserving students.

With gratitude,

Jaswanth Padiredla

Joined Siri Family  in 2024 and he is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Health at NTR College of Veterinary Science in Gannavaram. Tragically, he lost his father in 2022, and his mother, Mrs. Satyaveni, works as a tailor to support their family. The Siri Foundation has committed to supporting Jaswanth's education for the remainder of his academic journey.

Robotics Camp

In June, we organized First Lego League robotics camp. Two robotics kits, sponsored by NVIDIA employees through their impact program, were sent . Mr.Tezaswi Raja and his daughter Diya from Santa Clara, California, along with Vishnu Polagani from Spoorthy Global in Virginia, traveled to India to lead the camp in collaboration with Srijanavani. They dedicated several hours to teaching, with the objective of having teams work together to design and build a LEGO robot and program it to complete a series of missions autonomously. The camp was a great success!!

Pravallika Bora continues to excel under the guidance of her coach, Lohith. She won a medal in the 10KM event at the Vizag Navy Marathon and secured a spot in the top 10 at the 68th National School Games Athletics Under-17 Championship. Siri has been supporting Pravallika and two other girls under its sports grants, empowering them to achieve their athletic dreams.

Mr. Thatha representing Siri, played a key role in the restoration of GIOE's auditorium and essential infrastructure improvements, including the renovation of girls' toilets and drinking water facilities. The project was completed under budget, saving ₹5.9 lakhs, which will now be allocated to support future educational scholarships starting in 2025.

May - Nov, 2024 - Improved critical infrastructure at GIOE including Drinking water facility, Walkways, Toilets for Girls and benches

Thanks to Mr. Rambabu, a key member of the Alumni Committee, was instrumental in the project’s success
