Dear Friends and Supporters of Siri,
Thank you for believing in Siri Foundation and in the potential of every student we support. Your generosity continues to create opportunities through education and help young people build independent futures.
As of September 2026, 79 students are actively receiving scholarships, out of 132 students supported since 2012. So far, 48 students have graduated, and at least 29 have secured jobs, enabling them to support themselves and their families. Our scholarship program is a long-term commitment, typically lasting 5–8 years—from 11th grade through higher education and until students are ready to enter the workforce. Beyond scholarships, more than 1,200 students have benefited through programs such as NMMS, sports, libraries, online teaching, and other educational initiatives. Please check few success stories below.
This year, we further strengthened our partnerships in India and abroad. Our collaboration with the Srujanavani Super60 program continues to provide a strong pipeline of deserving students who are mentored from 7th through 10th grade before transitioning into Siri's higher-education scholarship program. We are proud to support these students for the long term while encouraging volunteerism, responsibility, and giving back.
We also expanded our work in Hyderabad through Sparsh USA, Spoorthy USA, GIOE Alumni, and Mr. Thatha Rao. Together, we now support 24 students in Hyderabad, including 14 new students added in 2026.
We remain deeply grateful to Asha for Education, especially the Kansas City chapter, Kansas City donors, and Miles for Smiles participants, for their continued guidance and support.
Our greatest strength continues to be our volunteers. With no salaries and near-zero administrative costs, donations go almost entirely to the students and programs we serve. Seeing alumni such as Ramakrishna VB return to mentor and support younger students makes our mission especially meaningful.
To every donor, volunteer, mentor, teacher, partner, and friend of Siri: thank you. Together, we are turning education into opportunity—and opportunity into independence for generations to come.
With gratitude,
Srini Chintala

Behind every scholarship is a young person with a dream— These stories show what can happen when determination meets encouragement, mentorship, and opportunity.
Venkata Sai Lakshmi Yelaka - From a village bicycle mechanic’s daughter to engineer, researcher, published author, and Siri mentor
Sai lakshmi joined the Siri Foundation family in 2015, soon after completing 10th grade . She grew up in a rural village and attended a government high school in Vaddadi with limited resources. Her father, Mr. Sita Ramayya, has worked for years as a bicycle mechanic and continues to run a small cycle-repair shop in the village, while her mother, Varalakshmi, is a homemaker.
With support from her family and Siri Foundation, she went on to complete her B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, graduating in 2020.
Even during the uncertainty of the COVID period, she stayed committed to her passion for metallurgy and materials engineering. She built her professional and research experience as a Project Engineer at Research Centre Imarat (RCI–DRDO) and later as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at ARCI — International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials. She subsequently joined GITAM Deemed University as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), continuing her work in materials and manufacturing research.
Her growing research career has already resulted in a published paper, “Design Strategy for Improving Mechanical Performance of Impurity-Tolerant Al–Si–Fe Alloys,” in the International Journal of Metalcasting.
Her long-term goal is to pursue a PhD and continue her career in metallurgy, manufacturing, and materials engineering.
What makes Sailakshmi’s journey particularly special to Siri is that she never really left the Siri family. After beginning her professional career, she returned as a volunteer and mentor—participating in community-service activities, guiding younger students, and helping the next generation believe in what is possible.
For us, that is the greatest measure of success: a student who once received support is now giving her time and experience to help others move forward.

Dileep Valtheti - From Financial Uncertainty to IIT, Palakkad and a Career in Data Science
We were delighted to receive this message from Dileep, a Siri Foundation scholar, sharing an important milestone in his journey on June 23, 2026:
“I have recently received and accepted an offer to join Turing as a Data Scientist. I wanted to share this happy milestone with you because Siri Foundation’s support played a major role in my journey.”
In Dileep’s words:
“Both the IIT fees and my pending unpaid Intermediate fees created a lot of financial pressure for me and my parents. It was a stressful time for our family. At that crucial moment, Siri Foundation’s support helped us immensely. It reduced the burden on my father and gave me peace of mind, allowing me to focus on my studies instead of constantly worrying about our financial situation.”
Today, Dileep has completed another important step in that journey by accepting an offer to join Turing as a Data Scientist.
Perhaps the most meaningful part of his message is what he hopes to do next:
"Thank you again for believing in me. In the future, I would definitely love to contribute to students like me who face financial difficulties and support them in their journey."
This is the circle of support Siri Foundation strives to create — helping a student at a critical moment, enabling them to become independent, and inspiring them to one day help the next student succeed.
Sandhya Rani Donthala - in her words
I am proud to have completed my MBBS at Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences in March 2026.
Coming from a single-parent family, pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor was financially challenging. Siri Foundation welcomed me into its family in 2020 and supported me throughout my medical education.
"You didn’t just help me financially—you gave me confidence, hope, and a family that believed in me."
With deepest gratitude, I thank everyone at Siri Foundation for your invaluable support throughout my MBBS journey
Thank you, Siri Foundation, for helping me achieve my dream!

Beyond long-term scholarships, Siri Foundation also helps younger students prepare for opportunities that can keep them in school and open the door to higher education.
Since 2014, Siri volunteers and part-time teachers have been conducting NMMS coaching and test preparation through the schools and libraries supported by Siri Foundation. The program provides students with study materials, practice tests, guidance, and structured preparation for the competitive NMMS examination.
During the 2025–26 academic year, Siri once again distributed NMMS preparation materials and organized coaching at multiple government schools, including Medicherla, Tenugupudi, Gondupalem, Kothapalli, and Koduru.
The National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a Government of India scholarship program designed to support academically talented students from economically disadvantaged families and help reduce school dropout after Class VIII. Qualified students will receive ₹12,000 per year • Up to 4 years • Classes IX–XII
For many rural students, this support can make a meaningful difference in their ability to continue their education.
